| December 8, 2005 The Working Women of Bronxville Network’s Invitation to a Special Evening at Citrine 22 Park Place, Bronxville Thursday, Dec 8th from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. $10 donation for Toys-for-Tots - - - - - - - - - - - - - Members came together for a glass of wine and some holiday cheer at Citrine, the new jewelry store that had just opened in Bronxville. The evening featured jewelry designer Suzy Landa, a young artisan who was recently awarded the JCK Designer of the Year award. She shared her passion for making jewelry and how she chose this career path. The store was specially opened in the evening for the WWB. It was a great opportunity to see the unique work of jewelry designers, who specialize in, one-of-a-kind pieces, all of which had been specially chosen. We also met the store owners, Sarah Reynolds and Willis O’Brien, two long-time Bronxville residents, who spent the last year developing their idea and making it a reality. This was a fun occasion to mingle with fellow WWB members, enjoy some holiday cheer, and find a unique gift for your mom, sister, daughter or friend… or to choose a special “something” (or two) for your own holiday wish list. About the Owners: Willis O’Brien was the founder and co-owner of Kensington Paper. Before moving to Bronxville she worked in sales and as a stockbroker. She has two teenage children. Sarah Reynolds spent 9 years working in ad sales for magazines such as Mademoiselle and Seventeen, and took an 11 year hiatus to raise her three young daughters. With the youngest in kindergarten, she has now time to devote to Citrine and still be home for her children in the afternoons. About the Artist: Suzy Landa graduated from UC Berkeley. She turned a long- time hobby into a successful business. She specializes in 18 kt gold and colored gemstones. Her signature pieces have been featured in numerous magazines and on national television. About Citrine: Opened on October 28th, Citrine specializes in selling unique, colored-stone jewelry. The owners, Sarah Reynolds and Willis O’Brien, personally meet each of the designers whose work they display.
