The 3rd Annual Jeanne A. Petrek, MD Breast Cancer Walk

TIME:
10:00 am – 12:30 pm

PLACE:  
Meet on the lawn at Lawrence Hospital (near the traffic
circle by Pondfield West); 3-mile walk along Bronx River
Parkway path.  

FEE:
$35 registration fee per family.  Additional donations are
welcome.

Jeanne Petrek, a Bronxville resident, was a renowned
breast cancer researcher and surgeon who was struck
and killed in April 2005 at a Manhattan street crossing.  
During her twenty years at Memorial Sloan-Kettering,
Jeanne treated more than 4,000 women and was
committed to patients’ quality of life issues.  She was
also a leading expert on pregnancy associated breast
cancer.













Proceeds from the walk will be donated to a special fund
established by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
for the perpetuation of Dr. Petrek’s good name and
works.  Please make checks payable to The Junior
League of Bronxville (Use memo area to designate
