Welcome to the WWB Network's Website
The Working Women of Bronxville (WWB)- Evolving in a time of Economic Crisis
In the past five years the Working Women of Bronxville (WWB) Network founded by two local residents, Kim Olson and Lisa Giuffra Diaz, has served as a community organization for Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, and Mount Vernon working women and women seeking to re-enter the workforce. The philosophy of the WWB is inclusion, connection and promotion thereby providing a forum for women to connect and network with other women in our local community on topics of mutual interest.
In light of the current economic environment, the WWB intends to restructure the organization and promote programs for 2009 that will focus on providing topical programs such as retooling professional skills, career transitioning, effective networking, managing stress, and embracing change.
The transition team consisting of WWB members Carolyn LoGalbo, Araxi Macaulay, Catherine Needham and JoAnn LoFrisco is seeking new leaders interested in contributing to the ongoing growth of the network. WWB Board positions consist of executive officers (President, Vice President, Membership, Communications and Events Officers) and council members. For more information about WWB membership, Board and Council positions please contact Catherine Needham directly at workingwomenofbronxville@gmail.com

IMPORTANT UPDATE
The face of our organization is going to get a makeover in 2009.
Our network continues to be a diverse group of women from Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Mount Vernon and other communities in the greater Bronxville area. We span a spectrum of ages, career types, and choices about work - - some choosing full- time careers, some part-time or flex arrangements, some seeking to re-enter the workforce, some starting their own businesses, some retired and some choosing to make their work raising their families and volunteering in the community.
The WWB will continue to provide a platform for the debate and discussion of social and professional issues of interest to our members. Taking heed of the current economic environment, however, the WWB will design a program for 2009 that will focus on providing topical programs such as retooling professional skills, career transitioning, effective networking, managing stress, and embracing change.
What will change in 2009, however, are the structure of the organization and the composition of the senior leadership team. The WWB's original founders- Kim Olson and Lisa Diaz- have decided to pass the management mantle to a new team of leaders. WWB thanks Lisa and Kim for their outstanding contributions in providing this invaluable forum that has so positively touched the lives of so many women in our area and enabled us to learn, make new friends and gain insight into multiple areas of mutual concern.
